Obonto

Rules ~ Authors: Sean & Thomas McGuire ~ Find It!

Publisher: McGuire Brothers, Inc., 2001 ~ (2P 10+) ~ Obonto consists of 81 octagons on a felt game board. Each octagon has a light and a dark side. Each player has three game pieces—a Lion, a Zebra, and a Camel—that move one, two, and three steps, respectively. After each move the octagon from which the animal moved away is turned over, now displaying its dark side. Animals cannot move on or over dark octagons. So it is only a question of time until the animals get locked in by dark octagons and can no longer make any moves. The player who can make at least one move after all opposing animals are locked in wins.
