ASG's Best
For some people equipment is the most important factor in choosing a game, while others choose a game because of its presentation. Most people, I included, have been disappointed at one time or another when their purchase turned out to be a dud. But those who use the above criteria for their choices are bound to be disappointed more often than the rest of us. Playability, I believe, should be the only concern in one's mind when purchasing a game, unless one is a "game-box" collector without regard for the contents of a "pretty box". The list of "ASG's Best" includes games with great equipment and presentation (Quintillions, Abalone, Antipalos) as well as games whose trademark is simplicity itself (Watch, Scala, Give & Take). The initial choices for this page were made exclusively by personal preference, but that was done out of necessity. Please submit your own choices to: ASG
